XB3002 - Game Ideas

XCOM – The Korean Peninsula (elements of DEFCON world map?)
A turn-based tactics game with skirmish map warfare (akin to dawn of war 2 etc) based in the XCOM series the player operates as US command in South Korea, against the shrouded North Korea. Main tactics in a DEFCON style world map – focussing on the Korean Peninsula (is the map local to just here or does the game need the involvement of the whole world map – probable). Skirmishes will zoom in from this world map similar to satellite/google maps animations in films and games.
The game is designed to be challenging, giving the player simple choices (for example who to send food aid too) which depending on the player’s choice could drastically change events in the game, adding to the game’s player interaction and immersion. Spying and recon will be featured heavily due to the secretive nature of North Korea, but economics will play a large part as South Korea is a highly lucrative nation.
